George Kalimeris

George has been with the YMCAs of Québec for almost two decades. He is one of the founders of the YMCA Alternative Suspension program and has consolidated the School Perseverance Sector of the YMCAs of Québec. He has overseen the development and expansion of more than a dozen initiatives and steered the development of more than 50 service sites for a variety of community-based education programs in Québec, Canada and in France.

Andrew Borrelli

Andrew joined the YMCA School Perseverance Sector in 2009 at the onset of the national expansion of the YMCA Alternative Suspension program. Since then, he has worked with YMCAs across the country to develop program sites in over 25 communities. Andrew’s role is to create partnerships, support the development of community-based education programs, and ensure program sustainability through financial consolidation. Since 2014, Andrew has also played a role in bringing YMCA Scotland’s Plusone Mentoring initiative to Canada. He is now overseeing the implementation of Plusone in four communities across the country.

Nicolas Greenfield

Nicolas joined the YMCA School Perseverance Sector in 2016 at the height of the Plusone Mentoring program’s development phase. Since his arrival, Nicolas supports his colleagues, at both the local and national levels, in the implementation of Plusone and its key elements. Nicolas is responsible for conceptualizing and developing program tools, offering continuous support to partner YMCAs delivering the program, as well as ongoing training for program staff to ensure the proper functioning of the Plusone Mentoring program in each community.
